  • Publix is expanding big time in the Charlotte Market with stores set for Cotswold on Randolph Road across from the Teeter and one on South Blvd. that just opened up last month.
  • BJ’s Wholesale Club- No more driving far to get the wholesale deals… BJ’s just announced it will be opening in the former Home Depot Design Center in the Metropolitan shopping center. Construction has just begun and they plan on opening before Thanksgiving this year just in time to load up for the holidays!
  • Fresh Market– construction recently began in the former Dilworth Blacklion space. Its scheduled to open mid-Nov.

June 5th-7th Taste of Charlotte Uptown

June 12th-14th The 4th Annual NODA Summer Musicfest
Charlotte’s best collection of galleries and performance venues and some of the funkiest full service restaurants including authentic Cajun cooking, Southwest cuisine, a Creative pizza eatery and more! Come out and celebrate 3 days of food, family fun and more than 40 of your favorite local and regional bands on 3 stages. The two day, live music festival and fundraiser is designed to promote the NODA district’s tremendous music and arts related resources and opportunities to regional artists, bands and other industry related professionals. June 16th Dine Out For Kids
Communities In Schools of Charlotte-Mecklenburg (CIS) is celebrating its 16th anniversary of Dine Out For Kids®, which falls on Tuesday, June 16th this year. Dine Out For Kids® is a community-wide event that offers area restaurants and their patrons an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to helping at-risk children stay in school and achieve in life. Participating restaurants will donate a portion of the day’s sales on June 16 to Communities In Schools. Last year, more than 90 area restaurants participated in this day-long event. http://www.cischarlotte.org/
